Wrangel Island Expedition - August 04 - 19, 2019
Wrangel Island is an Arctic island the lies above Siberia in the Russian Arctic. It is a Russian wildlife refuge, which is the highest level of environmental protection within the Russian Federation. Our journey started in Nome, AK, where we boarded a charter flight to Anadyr, in Chukotka, Russia. After a couple of boat transfers, we boarded the noted icebreaker, Kapitan Khlebnikov, for our journey.
